Dr. Donna O'Connor
I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC# PYL35337). I have 12 years of experience of working in NHS mental health services. I initially worked as a CBT therapist with both child and adult populations before obtaining my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool in 2017. Since then I have worked in NHS primary care mental health services and in the private sector specialising in working with adults who experience common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety & post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I tailor a range of therapeutic approaches to provide a holistic therapy that matches each individual’s particular needs. I place a strong emphasis on providing a warm, accepting, and therapeutic environment for clients to safely and collaboratively explore the underlying reasons for their difficulties, develop effective coping skills and achieve personal well-being.
